Koraput, August 17 (LocalWire): Former school inspector Netrananda Dandasena, who was convicted in the Tikiri Upper Primary School teacher Itishree Pradhan murder case, died in Koraput jail today, jail officials said.
Dandasena was serving life imprisonment in Koraput jail.
When he complained of illness yesterday, he was taken to the Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital.
He breathed his last this morning, while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Itishree Pradhan, a teacher of Tikiri Upper Primary School in Rayagada, was set on fire inside her room in the school campus on October 27, 2013.
She died while undergoing treatment at the CARE hospital in Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh on November 1, 2013.
Rayagada District and Sessions Court had on April 26, 2016 held Dandasena guilty for the murder and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
