Puri, March 5, (LocalWire): Amicus Curiae Ranjit Kumar filed a detailed report in the Supreme Court on Tuesday of his inspection visit to Jagannath Temple here last month.
In his report to an SC bench of justices Arjan Kumar Sikri, S. Abdul Nazeer and M.R. Shah, Kumar highlighted about the reforms being undertaken by the temple management to improve the conditions.
On his request, the apex court in its last hearing had granted more time to Kumar to file the report.
Kumar had visited the temple on February 23 under the direction of the Supreme Court. He submitted to the court that he had met with all stakeholders in the case, including the king of Puri.
He also told the court that he had received many suggestions during his visit on hygiene and sanitation facilities in the temple.
