Bhubaneswar, May 6 (Local Wire): Jagatsinghpur on Wednesday reported Coronavirus cases for the first time as four samples from the district tested positive for the global pandemic.
According to the State Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department, four persons who had recently returned from Surat tested positive for the disease in the district.
“Four cases were detected from Jagatsinghpur.
All of them had returned from Surat and are in quarantine.
These include men aged 26 years, 32 years, 30 years and 47 years,” a statement from the department said.
In addition to this, Balasore, Kendrapara and Jajpur report one case each and all the these three cases were said to have West Bengal links.
These three patients had recently returned to these districts from the neighboring state.
Early on Wednesday morning an 18-year-old male who returned from Surat also tested positive in Ganjam district.
The state has now a total of 185 positive cases of Coronavirus.
