Bhubaneswar, Jan 8 (LocalWire) The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, country’s top engineering entrance examination, commenced on Tuesday across 264 cities in India, including nine centres in Odisha.
The tests are being conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Around 9 lakh students are appearing for the JEE Main this year.
In Odisha, candidates will sit for the examination at nine different centres at Bhubaneswar, Angul, Balasore, Berhampur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jeypore, Rourkela and Sambalpur.
Candidates, who will apply for B.Arch and B.Planning courses, are appearing for Paper-II on Tuesday.
The examination is being conducted in two sittings – from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm; and from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
Paper-I for admission to B.E./B.Tech courses will start on Wednesday and continue till Jan 12.
Results will be declared on Jan 31.
The JEE Main examination, which is conducted twice a year, will next be conducted between Apr 6 and 20.
