Informing this here on Saturday, Jharsuguda airport director SK Chouhan said that SpiceJet Airlines will begin operations from the airport starting from March 31.
The private airlines will operate flights from the VVS Airport to three major cities – New Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad, he added.
An eight-member safety audit team of SpiceJet on Saturday inspected the facilities and other arrangements at the airport here.

As many as four companies have been permitted four flights under Phase-III of ‘Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik’ (UDAN). The flight routes are Jharsuguda-Ranchi, Bhubaneswar-Utkela, Utkela-Raipur & Jeypore-Bhubaneswar.
