Angul, March 2 (LocalWire): Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. (JSPL), one of the leading business conglomerates in steel, power and mining sectors, has commemorated 30th anniversary of its mega steel plant in Odisha’s Angul district.
Addressing the occasion, JSPL chairman Naveen Jindal said: “JSPL is a result of O.P. Jindal’s vision of building a self-reliant India in every industrial sector. With a humble beginning at Raigarh in 1989, JSPL is now a dominant player in multiple sectors, including steel, power, infrastructure, mining and cement.”
He thanked all the employees, workers and the local communities for their support in building state of the art factories and mines across India and abroad.
The entire Jindal family had gathered at Angul to mark the grand occasion on Friday.
Chairperson Emeritus of O.P. Jindal Group Savitri Jindal, Jindal SAW chairman Pritvi Raj Jindal, chairman of JSW Group Sajjan Jindal, chairman of Jindal Stainless Ltd. Rattan Jindal, co-chairperson of JSPL Foundation Shallu Jindal, JSPL MD N.A. Ansari and JSPL CEO Sudhansu Saraf, among others, attended the event.
On the occasion, 74 JSPL employees, who have completed over 25 years of service, were honoured.
Renowned artists from various part of the country performed in an exhilarating cultural programme themed Nritya Sangam at the temple premises of Dev Bhoomi.
Artists presented dances such as Pung Cholam, Kuchipudi, Mohiniyattam, Odissi and Kathak.
Co-founder of JSPL Foundation Shallu Jindal thanked the workers and the artisans who contributed in building the grand temple.
