Bhubaneswar, June 5 (Local Wire): Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has now issued a public appeal to the people to stay indoors and use all preventive measures to curb the rise of Coronavirus in the state.
In a video message to the people, he said that the month of June was crucial and special measures needed to be taken.
“For Coronavirus there is no medicine or vaccine till now.
Monsoon is also knocking on the doors. Don’t make mistakes.
June will be the most crucial for our fight against the virus,”
Patnaik also said that with the entry close to 5 lakh from different states their impact could be felt in the state in the next 15-20 days.
He said that with the onset of monsoon cough, cold and flu cases are also likely to escalate.
The CM said that the safety of the people was important for the state and that is why the lockdown curbs were imposed including the weekly curfews in 11 districts.
