Bhubaneswar, Mar 28 (Local Wire): The Kar Clinic in the capital city has clarified that it connected the third COVID 19 patient of the state to the government setup as soon as they found it a suspected case of Coronavirus.
A day after the state government publicly asked the people not to visit this hospital as an elderly man who was admitted here found positive for coronavirus, the hospital said it is following the government direction.
“The patient was admitted to the ICU of our hospital on March 23. He was discharged on March 24″ clarifies Sidhant Kar, MD of Kar Clinic.
He showed symptoms of pneumonia but x–ray report raised suspicion. We asked him to go to government hospital for testing and assistance,” he added.
He said that despite reluctance shown by the person for testing and going to Capital Hospital, the hospital persued him to go there for examination and further treatment.
The hospital also said that fumigation and adequate sanitisation of the entire hospital have been done to ensure nullifying chances of any spread of infection to others in the health center.
The hospital also said that it has shifted other patients to other hospitals and sent persons who attended the patient to isolation.
