Berhampur, June 24 (LocalWire): Khallikote Cluster University (KCU) here signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with two Taiwanese Universities valid for the next five years, for collaborative research and exchange of faculties and students.
The KCU is the first university of the state to sign a MoU with the National Taichung University of Education and Asia University, Taiwan.
The presidents of the respective Taiwanese Universities signed the MoU, said Vice-Chancellor of KCU, AN Mishra, during the three-day meet of ‘2019 India-Taiwan University Vice-Chancellors /Presidents /Directors Forum’ held at National Institute of Technology, Warangal.
The forum was organized by the NIT-W in association with the Association of Indian Universities under the Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration (SPARC), a flagship programme of the HRD ministry.
It aims at academic and educational collaboration between two nations to cultivate and strengthen human capital through enhanced connectivity among educators.
Twenty-eight delegates headed by Cheu-An Bi of Taiwan and about 50 VCs of different Indian universities and directors of Central, public and private universities took part in the event, Mishra said.
The KCU was set up by the state government on May 30, 2015, while the post-graduate classes started from last year.
