Bhubaneswar, Sept 8 (LocalWire): The Khurda district which had been reporting more than 700 cases for almost a week today reported a minor dip and saw 535 new cases.
The state on the other hand added a total of 3490 new cases of the viral disease.
The State Information and Public Relations Department said that out of the 3490 new cases, a total of 2094 cases are from quarantine while a total of 1396 cases are from local contacts.
While Khurda district reported the maximum cases it was followed by Cuttack which saw 376 new cases. A total of 30 districts reported the new cases.
Other districts which reported higher number of cases included-Puri (217 cases), Mayurbhanj (207), Rayagada (206) and Jajpur (178).
With the addition of the new cases, the total cases in the state touched 1,31,382.
The state government claims to have done a total of 21,84,841 sample testing till now.
On the other side, the state has seen a total of 31,362 active cases while it has also seen recoveries of 99,398.
