Bhubaneswar, March 6 (LocalWire): Two teams from the department of computer engineering, KIIT, won the national level digital competition, ‘Smart India Hackathon 2019’ organised by MHRD, AICTE and i4c.
‘Gradiants’ won the Hackathon held at CV Raman Engineering College, Bhubaneswar, by creating an innovative model of monitoring the movement of people in cities. The team comprising Subham Kumar Das (team leader), Saurav Pattanaik, Samarendrea Chandan Bindu Dash, Siddartha Mohapatra, Sweta Pati and Sailesh Dwivedy bagged Rs 75,000 in cash and were awarded certificates.
Another KIIT Team, Phoenix Tech, comprising Shubham Kumar Sahu (team leader), Raj Babu Das, Ekta Prakash, Smriti Ojha, Subhashri Das and Srijani Basu won the Hackathon held at Satyabhama Deemed to be University, Chennai. Their project was on complaint registration portal for labourers. The team won Rs 1,00,000 cash award.
Dr Achyuta Samanta congratulated the teams and wished the best for their future endeavours in innovation and entrepreneurship.
