Bhubaneswar, July 17 (LocalWire): The state government today announced pensions for the spouse or kin of frontline workers dying out of COVID 19 during their line of duty.
The notification issued by the government said that anganwadi workers and ASHA workers will be benefited from the scheme.
According to the notification issued by the office of the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC), the spouse or next of kin of deceased anganwadi workers dying due to COVID 19 on the line of duty would be entitled for a pension of Rs 7500 per month.
This will be paid till the date he/she would have attained the age of 60 years had he/she survived.
On the other hand, in case of death of ASHA workers due to COVID 19 on line of duty their spouse or kin will be entitled for a pension of Rs 5000 per month.
The SRC office said that the finance minister in consultation with the women and child welfare department will issue the guidelines into this regard soon.
