Berhampur, Dec 4 (LocalWire): Ganjam district administration today distributed land patta (records of rights) to 3172 persons under Berhampur sub-divisional area limits in a mega camp held here.
The camp was held under the district administration’s initiative ‘Mo Gaon Re Tehsil’, launched two months ago to solve the revenue-related cases in a single window system in the revenue circle.
Distributing the records of rights to beneficiaries, the Speaker of the state Assembly Surya Narayan Patro lauded the initiative of the district administration. ‘It will help get benefits of people under one roof,’ he said.
Among others, MLA (Gopalpur) Pradeep Kumar Panigrhy, MLA (Chikiti) Usha Devi, MLA (Berhampur) Bikram Kumar Panda, former Berhampur MLA R Ch Chyaupatnaik attended the camp which was presided by Ganjam Collector Vijaya Amruta Kulange.
Land pattas have been distributed to beneficiaries in Berhampur, Kanishi, Kukudakhandi, Digapahandi, Patrapur, Chikiti and Rangeilunda tehsils in the district. Besides land patta, gramkathak, parampanka and pattas under Basundhara scheme were also distributed.
District administration has launched Mo Gaon re Tehsil initiative to provide services at the door step of the beneficiaries at RI circle level.
Some other services like receipt of land revenue, receipt of application of mutation case and land conversation also is delivered in the programme.
‘The people will not go to the tehsil office, rather tehsil office will come to the people,’ said the Collector.
