Kendrapara, August 7 (LocalWire): Members of CPM and CPI protested against the Centre’s decision on Kashmir by organizing a protest meet in front of the Collector ‘s office at Kendrapara today.
Addressing the protesters, CPM leader Umesh Chandra Singh said that the Union government had illegally scrapped Article 370 and bifurcated Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories.
He termed the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill 2019 as un-Constitutional and said, ‘unemployment graph in the country is skyrocketing due to wrong economic policies of the Modi-led NDA government.
To distract people’s attention from unemployment and poverty issues, Centre scrapped Article 370.’

Article 371 also gives special status to Sikkim, Assam, Mizoram and Nagaland.
The situation in Jammu and Kashmir is tense due to wrong and anti-people policies of Modi government.
The Centre illegally arrested many top leaders of Kashmir, they alleged.
Left party leaders criticized BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for supporting the scrapping of Article 370.
‘BJD is now dancing to the tune of Modi,’ said Ramaniranjan Routray, the secretary of the district unit of CPI.
