Bhubaneswar, Sept 17 (LocalWire): A low-pressure area is likely to develop over the North-East Bay of Bengal and its neighbourhood around Sept 20, the Met centre in Bhubaneswar said today.
Heavy rainfall has been predicted for Sept 19 over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur and Rayagada, and a yellow warning has been issued for the same.
While heavy to very heavy rainfall (orange warning) has been predicted for the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Ganjam and Puri, a yellow warning has been issued for Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Cuttack and Khordha, for Sept 20.
An orange warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall has also been issued for 9 districts on Sept 21, and a yellow warning of heavy rainfall has been issued for 21 districts.
Wind speeds of up to 45-55 kmph is likely off Odisha coast from Sept 21.
Fishermen have been advised not to venture into deep sea areas for fishing off the Odisha coast on 20th, 21st and 22nd Sept, and those who are at sea have been advised to return before Sept 20.
