Bhubaneswar, July 12 (LocalWire): Data relating to Coronavirus infections in the state capital hint that the majority of the cases are either linked to travel history or contact with Corona patients.
Latest statistics relating to cases reported in Bhubaneswar from July 1 to July 10 claim that the city reported 310 new Coronavirus cases in that period.
Out of the 310 cases, 212 cases (68 per cent) had either recent travel histories or links with other Coronavirus patients.
The government claimed that out of the total cases in the period, 61 cases were reported from hospitals while 37 cases were traced from the local population.
Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Prem Choudhury said that special measures like declaration of containment zones and strict surveillance are being done to reduce the chances of new infection from high risk areas.
