Bhubaneswar, Feb 11 (LocalWire): Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed his condolences to the families of five persons who lost their lives when a pick-up van overturned near Pangama on Malkangiri-Gobindapalli road on Monday.
He also announced that the families of those who lost their lives will get Rs two lakh each while those who were injured will be provided free treatment.
He also prayed for speed recovery of the injured.
The accident took place on Monday morning when around 25 persons were going to attend a programme.
The driver of the vehicle they were travelling in lost control over the wheels and the pick-up van skidded off the road.
While five persons lost their lives in the accident, over 10 persons have grievously been injured.
The injured have been admitted to Mathili hospital and Malkangiri district headquarters hospital.
