Rourkela, Oct 9 (LocalWire): A man was found murdered in his house near Kaleiposh jungle this morning.
He had a deep wound in his neck. There were no signs of protest and police believe that he was killed in his sleep.
Niladri Nayuk lived in a thatched hut at the edge of Kaleiposh jungle. He was often visited by the locals.
Today morning they found him lying in a pool of blood with his throat cut open brutally with a sharp weapon.
The Lahunipara police was informed who took possession of the body and started an investigation. So far no arrest has been made in this regard.
‘We have filed an FIR against unknown person as we are yet to know the real reason and the people involved in the crime,’ said an official of the Lahunipara Police Station.
Locals think the murder took place for Nayak’s involvement in land deals. Originally from Bonai, he was staying here since the last five years.
