Bhubaneswar, Dec. 21 (localWire)Police on Saturday arrested a miscreant on the charge of mercilessly thrashing a man and forcing him to drink urine in broad day light in Kaipadar village in Khurda district.
The arrested man has been identified as Rajendra Bhuyan, who had committed the offence in accompaniment of another person.
Search is on to arrest him, police said.
The accused-duo had tied up the victim on a coconut tree in the village.
Later they beat him up ruthlessly and forced him to drink urine.
They had meted out barbaric to the victim to settle an old score.
Locals had turned mute spectators and had not come forward to come to victim’s rescue as the miscreant duo tortured him in public glare.
The incident occurred on December 18. As the video footage of the crime went viral in social media platforms, police swung into action to nab the offenders, said Khurda Superintendent of Police, Ajay Pratap Swain.
