Bhubaneswar, May 27 (Local Wire): The study of MBBS courses for the aspiring doctors in the medical colleges in the state has now been hit by the lockdown curbs, many students claimed.
Several medicos studying in medical colleges of Odisha claim that their classes have been suspended for close to four months and now they are troubled by the delay in their examinations.
“We are clueless now about our exams as no clear instructions on holding of yearly exams have come to us.
If suspension of classes and delay of exams continue we may miss one whole year due to this,” an MBBS student requesting anonymity said.
He said that certain medical colleges tried conducting online classes but failed due to lack of resources and shortage of funding.
The students have now written to several important government authorities including Governor Ganeshi Lal on the issue.
The students demand that all the MBBS exams should be cancelled to not affect the timely progression from one level to other.
They appealed to the government to consider their semester exams to promote them.
If case of more delays, the final year students can also miss their chances of appearing for their PG exams.
