Bhubaneswar, May 11 (LocalWire): The Indian Meteorological Department on Monday issued warnings of “thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind reaching 30-40 kmph” for the next 5 days, till 16th May.
The weather bulletin informed that a cyclonic circulation lies over south Andaman sea and adjoining Sumatra coast, under whose influence a low-pressure area is likely to form over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Andaman Sea around 13th May, which is likely to strengthen over the next 72 hours.
A yellow warning of thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over 13 districts including Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Bhadrak and Jajpur.
A warning for fishermen from Odisha coast has been issued today, valid for the next 5 days (16th May).
No large change in maximum temperature over the next 5 days has been predicted.
The maximum and minimum temperatures shall remain at 37 degrees and 25 degrees respectively, with relative maximum humidity at 96%.
