Berhampur, Feb 12 (LocalWire) At least four unidentified motorcycle-borne miscreants on Tuesday looted around Rs 1.62 lakh from a pick-up van of a private finance company by hurling bombs near Badapalli under Nayagarh district’s Khandapada police station limits.
At least three people, including van driver, were coming from Narasinghapur after collecting the money from different groups to deposit the cash in a nationalized bank at Nayagarh, when the miscreants attacked them, said police.

They stopped the vehicle and started hurling bombs before looting the cash,” said Khandapada police station in-charge Bimal Mallick.
After loot, they fled from the spot immediately, the police said.
“Miscreants hurled at least seven bombs. One person sustained minor injuries in the blast,” said Mallick.
Police blocked nearby areas after the incident and intensified patrolling to nab the miscreants.
