Bhubaneswar, Dec 8 (LocalWire) Unidentified miscreants set on fire an SUV owned by Talcher MLA Braja Kishore Pradhan at Bharatpur-Nandira office in his home constituency last night, police said.
The BJD lawmaker was having night halt at the office when the incident took place.
The locals found the MLA’s room was locked from outside.
They doused the fire and unbolted the door, the sources said.
Scientific and forensic teams are at spot to gather vital material evidence.
Investigation is underway to crack the mysterious fire; police said adding that it appears to be a willful act of sabotage and disruption.
However, Pradhan could not be reached out for his comments.
It may be recalled here that the miscreants had barged into the high-security MLA colony area in the state capital on August 19 and set on fire cars and motorcycles parked at the official residence of Pradhan.
The accused persons in the crime have since been taken into custody, the sources said.
