Berhampur: Dec 13 (LocalWire) Vigilance sleuths on Thursday arrested a pharmacist of MKCG Medical College and Hospital here for allegedly taking bribe of cash Rs 800 from a person on the hospital premises.
Pahrmacist Meri Khan, working in the orthopedic department, accepted the bribe to supply medicine and other materials to a patient, who was undergoing operation.
The accused was demanding Rs 1200 from the son of the patient and negotiated at Rs 800.
She was caught red-handed and the bribe money recovered, said vigilance SP (Berhampur) Mayadhara Swain.
Her residence and hospital chamber were also raided.
