Bhubaneswar, June 11 (LocalWire): The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) has now introduced a digital payment system for the passengers of the bus service.
The new payment regime was started on pilot basis and currently will be offered for buses plying on Route 16 and Route (20), CRUT said.
“For the start, this facility is available on Route 16 and Route 20. We will scale it up after feedback from our valued commuters,” informed Dipti Mahapatro, General Manager, CRUT.
Mohapatro said that from the very beginning, MoBus had an option of online payment through the app. “This new digital payment option will further facilitate cashless transactions,” she said.
According to the system set up, the bus operators will accept payments through mobile wallets by scanning the QR code for the payments.
Mo Bus service is also likely to introduce tap and pay card facilities soon.
