Bhubaneswar, Oct 1 (LocalWire): The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) will keep Odia newspapers for passengers to read when they travel by Mo Bus from 2 October as part of its ‘Newspaper on Wheels’ initiative.
If a commuter is missing out on the daily news update, travelling by Mo Bus can be the perfect time to fix it.
In the initial phase, a leading national English daily was provided in Air Conditioned Mo Buses.
Now this will be extended to non AC buses as well.
The passengers can read the newspaper and keep it for other riders before getting down from the bus.
‘We are implementing many people-friendly projects to meet the expectations of the public.
We want to promote our language and also encourage, propagate and develop a reading habit among daily commuters,’ said Dipti Mahapatro, General Manager, Personnel and Administration & spokesperson, CRUT.
‘Currently we have a fleet of 200 buses equipped with free WiFi, with technologically advanced equipment and cater to around 70,000 passengers daily across 20 routes in the twin cities,’ she added.
