Bhubaneswar, Nov 26 (LocalWire): After ‘Mo bus’ service, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched ‘Mo Cycle’ app and cycle service in the city on Monday.
At least 1400 cycles have reached Bhubaneswar; in the first phase, around 1000 cycles will be available for public use for which Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has identified 120 locations.
The state government has signed agreement with three companies Yulu, Yaana and Hexi for this project.
The BMC has laid down 3 feet wide, red colour cycle tracks across the city for the cycles to run.
The first 30 minutes will be free ride and for monthly ride, users have to pay Rs. 100 for membership.
The bicycles come with smart lock feature, which can be opened through mobile application by the users.
Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissionerate urged people to keep the cycle tracks free from parking and vending.
