Jagatsinghpur, Sept 2 (LocalWire): A training programme has been organised by Jagatsinghpur police sub division today on Mo Sarkar programme to make police accountable and responsive to the public’s needs.
Superintendent of police, Prakash R, presided over the meeting and said the main aim of the programme was to sensitize police personnel about response mechanisms in police stations and how they should behave with a complainant or a victim when he/she comes to the police station.
‘It is the part of the state government’s 5T mantra – technology, transparency, teamwork and time – in order to bring about a transformation in the way the government functions. Under Mo Sarkar programme, training of police personnel in soft skills and functioning of district call center to get feedback of public regarding police response during registration or receipt of petitions in police stations for enquiry.
Yesterday, Tirtol SPDO conducted a similar training programme in Tirtol.
Police personnel of 15 police stations of the district participated in it and clarified their doubt. SDPO, Jagatsinghpur Prakash Kumar Pal and SDPO, Tirtol Deepak Ranjan Jena organized this programme in Jagatsinghpur and Tirtol respectively.
