He also demanded the development of railway stations at Berhampur in Ganjam and Paralakhemundi in Gajapati districts by adding more passenger amenities and services. Adequate water supply, lighting facilities, toilet complex are necessary in Berhampur railway station, he said.
Thousands of people from Ganjam and its adjoining Kandhamal district depend upon Berhampur station for their onward journey.
The MP also urged Bhusan to expedite the ongoing civil work at Berhampur and Paralakhemundi and to complete them on time.
Since a number of people go to Puri regularly, it was necessary to extend one of the Memo or DMU trains passing through Berhampur to Puri for their convenience. Similarly, people of Kasinagar have along demanded for the stoppage of Rajyarani Express.
Bhusan assured to consider the demands in priority basis and also invited Sahu to visit different stations in Ganjam and Gajapati districts to assess their conditions and to undertake their developments.
