Bhubaneswar, December 17 (LocalWire): Thousands of people including muslims from various parts of the state today protested against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) by staging peaceful demonstrations at lower PMG square close to the state Secretariat and Assembly.
Besides seeking withdrawal of the Act, they urged the government not to implement the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in the state.
‘The Act discriminates and marginalizes the Muslims from followers of other religions. It violates Article 14 and Article 15 of the Constitution,’ the agitating people said.
