Bhubaneswar, May 23 (Local Wire): Two new districts of Odisha Saturday reported their maiden cases of Coronavirus, the state government said today.
As per the data given by the health department, the state added 80 new cases of the global pandemic as the total cases in the state went upto 1269.
The department said that Nabarangpur district reported its maiden case in the latest round of testing.
On the other hand Gajapati district also reported Coronavirus case for the first time. Four patients from the district reported positive for the disease.
Out of the 80 new cases detected, 71 are said to be from quarantine centres, two from home quarantine while seven of them are local cases.
A total of 13 districts Saturday reported fresh cases of the disease.
These included-Ganjam (19 cases), Jajpur (14), Balasore (3), Puri (17), Cuttack (1), Sundergarh (5), Nayagarh (5), Balangir (1), Malkangiri (5), Kandhamal (2), Jharsuguda (3).
