Jajpur, Dec 11 (LocalWire): Panchapatmali Bauxite Mines of National Aluminium Company (NALCO) bagged several awards in multiple categories at the 36th Annual Metallic Ferrous Mines Safety Week celebration held at Sukinda in Jajpur.
NALCO was recognized and awarded in multiple categories, including General working (South Block Mines), Mechanical maintenance (C & N block), Safety & Compliance (C & N block), Safety Stall renovation (C & N block) and on Swachatta (South Block Mines).
Apart from the group award, employees of the company’s Mines division at Damanjodi won individual prizes in Mishri Lal Memorial Competition.
Congratulating the Mines collective win, CMD Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand said ,”NALCO’s Panchapatmali Bauxite Mines is recognised the world over for its productivity, safety and state of the art technology. Presently, NALCO’s Bauxite Mines is the second lowest cost producer of Bauxite in the world and we are making all out effort to make our Mines the lowest cost producer.”
This year Safety Week was celebrated under the aegis of Director General Mines Safety (DGMS) Bhubaneswar Region in which 34 Mines of Bhubaneswar region had participated.
