Bhubaneswar, Nov 16 (LocalWire) A young police official posted in Kalahandi district has won appreciation from Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for helping out the poor complainants.
“Delighted to receive very positive feedback through #MoSarkar on IIC, Madanpur Rampur PS of Kalahandi, where he personally helped a needy petitioner from far-away village reach home. Such acts of kindness not only earn goodwill but also strengthen people’s faith in our governance”, Patnaik tweeted on Saturday.
Patnaik lauded the the Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) of Madanpur-Rampur police station, Uttam Kumar Sahu after receiving positive citizen-centric feedback under ‘Mo Sarkar’ outreach initiative.
“Based on the feedback, there will be immediate action appreciating those doing good work and initiating action against those who are not”, Patnaik had earlier said while launching ‘Mo Sarkar’ on October 2.
Under the outreach initiative, the cops’ manners, etiquette, behavior and response to citizens are on government’s scanner. Those who receive good feedback from the public will be suitably rewarded, said senior police officials.
“CM has praised me. I am overjoyed. This is the happiest moment of my life. I am a government employee and drawing salary from taxpayers’ money.
I have been doing my duty with utmost devotion. I try to address people’s complaints at the shortest period of time”, Sahu told the LocalWire.
“I always try to cultivate rapport with the people with good behavior. At times, I help the poor and under-privileged complainants offering them money to travel back to their villages.
“Perhaps the chief minister got the feedback through Mo Sarkar prpgramme. That’s why, he congratulated me.
CM’s soothing words in the tweet will inspire me to work hard for the people” he said.
