Bhubaneswar, Oct 16 (LocalWire): Shoyeb Aftab, an 18-year-old boy from Rourkela, has scripted history by becoming the first person to score full marks in NEET examination this year.
Shoyeb is also the first person from Odisha to be the topper of the examination.
The NEET examination is held every year for admission to medical courses. More than 7.7 lakh candidates cleared the test this year out of the 16 lakhs that had registered for it.
Shoyeb told journalists today that he would like to be a cardiologist.
Shoyeb prepared for the entrance examination at Kota’s Allen Career institute. He lived in Kota with his mother and sister in order to prepare for the examination.
“I study around 10-12 hours a day. Giving the exam in the middle of the pandemic was highly stressful, but I used the lockdown to study even harder,” he said.
Shoyeb has expressed his desire to work for the economically weaker sections of the society.
“I hope that I will motivate youngsters to work hard, so that they can be of use to out nation,” he added.
