Balasore, Dec 28 (Localwire): Balasore Regional Improvement Trust (BRIT) has prepared a master plan to deal with the expansion of the town keeping in view the population growth and requirements for the next 25 years.
The master plan was presented by the design firm to the district officials, including the district collector K Sudarshan Chakravarthy, DRDA PD Ramchandra Jena, Sadar tehsildar, Balasore Municipality executive officer, and BRIT secretary on Friday.
The plan has been made keeping in view future requirements of the denizens, and effective administrative management primarily for hassle-free traffic and delivery of other basic citizen services.
The master plan includes sports complex, amusement park, solid waste management facility, sewerage management that has to be established outside the existing township area, and a ring road.
According to sources, the master plan includes the area of Balasore municipality along with 205 more villages around the township.
The district administration has sought feedback from people and they can also inform the authorities of objections, if any, sources said, adding that the master plan would be executed through zone-level sub-plans.
