Rourkela, Nov 4 (LocalWire): Innovision, the three-day flagship techno-management fest of National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (NIT) ended last evening.
The programme began on 1 November and was inaugurated by the Director of the institute Animesh Biswas and VP L&T Raju Rai.
The three day tech extravaganza witnessed participation of over 2000 students from different premier institutions of the country.
This year the theme of the programme was ‘Space Opera.’
The event witnessed some interesting competitions like Hoveron, Intelligent Trader, Death Race, Chem e car and Robosumo.
A technological exhibition was also held to mark the occasion.
Besides, for the innovative minds of the city a ‘science yard’ was also established.
Speaking on the event SAC President Professor Samita Mohanty said, ‘this event is a combination of both learning and entertainment.
We get representation from almost all the leading technical institutes of the country because NIT Rourkela is a leading institute of the country and its prestigious to participate here.’
Other noted speakers during the event were, Sabyasachi Mukhopadhyaya, Google Crowd Source, Samir Datt, Founder, CEO of Doundation Futuristic Technologies, Avelo Roy, MD, Kolkata Ventures, Tapan Mishra, ISRO Scientist and Arup Mohan Patnaik, IPS Officer.
DJ night by DJ Olly Esse, Comedy Show by Anubhav Singh Bassi, Bollywood night by Gajendra Verma were other attractions.
There were workshops on different subjects like ExploreML Beginner Track, Robotics Process Automation, VFX and Animation, Reinforcement Learning, Cloud Computing, Model Rocketry.
