Bhubaneswar, June 12 (LocalWire): The Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission informed on Tuesday that electricity tariff will remain unchanged in the state during 2019-20 fiscal.
‘Retail tariff for the financial year 2019-20 will remain unchanged since last year. Tariff order for financial year 2019-20 is effective from 1st June 2019,’ an OERC statement read.
Consumers will have to pay tariff at Rs 2.50 per unit for the first 50 units, Rs 4.30 per unit above 50 units and up to 200 units, Rs 5.30 per unit above 200 and up to 400 units like in the last fiscal year.
The tariff has been fixed at Rs 5.70 per unit above 400 units per month and consumers opting for digital payment will get a rebate of 2 per cent.
Notably, last time tariff for the financial year 2017-18 had remained unchanged of 10 paisa.
