Bhubaneswar, Oct 4 (LocalWire): The Odisha Meteorological Department today said that the rains in the state would continue to lash the state for the next three days without any respite.
The department attributed the low pressure area developed around the northwest of Bay of Bengal as the prime reason for the rains.
The department bulletin said that under its impact rainfall in many parts of the state would continue for the next two days till October 6.
It is anticipated heavy rains can be seen in Bolangir, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Nuapada, Angul and Keonjhar tomorrow.
On October 6, Koraput, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Bargarh, Jharsuguda and Mayurbhanj districts are likely to see heavy downpour.
The office of the Special Relief Commissioner has warned the district administrations to be alert and act accordingly.
Different parts of the state including the state capital have been witnessing fragmented spells of rainfall, leaving the normal lives in the cities at jittery.
