Bhubaneswar, Dec 31 (LocalWire): The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar said as many as 13 places in Odisha have recorded a minimum temperature of 8 degree Celsius on Monday.
Tribal dominated Kandhamal district’s popular hill station Daringibadi recorded the season’s and the state’s lowest temperature at 2.8 degree Celsius, the minimum temperature in district headquarters town Phulbani was recorded at 3 degree Celsius.
Koraput recorded a temperature of 4.8 degree Celsius.
Capital city Bhubaneswar witnessed 9.5 degree Celsius on Monday, a marginal rise from Sunday’s 8.2 degree, that broke last two decade’s record.
Temperature dropped below 10 degree Celsius at 20 places across the state.
Balasore recorded 8.7 degree Celsius while Chandabali 9.8, Cuttack 8.8, Paradip 12.2, Angul 5.6, Baripada 9, Jharsuguda 6.8, Keonjhar Garh 6.6, Sambalpur 7.5, Sundergarh 7.5, Hirakud 8.9, Talcher 8.3, Bhawanipatna 6, Bolangir 7.4, Titlagarh 6.5, Malkangiri 9.8 and Sonepur witnessed 5.8 degree Celsius.
The cold wave will continue for next two-three days, said the weather office.
