Bhubaneswar, Mar 30 (Local Wire): The state Assembly on Monday passed the Appropriation Bill which was due for consideration and passing as the House resumed its operation today.
However the House worked for one hour and passed the legislation unanimously while close to one third of the legislators were present in the House as directed earlier by the Speaker Surja Narayan Patro.
The MLAs also ensured social distancing and sat with a distance from each other.
The proceedings of the House was conducted from the Lok Seba Bhavan temporarily as the Assembly has been under the process of sanitization as the third COVID 19 patient has visited the House dispensary recently.
Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari presented the legislation amount to Rs 1.5 lakh crore and it was passed unanimously BJD MLA Amar Satpathy said.
