Bhubaneswar, Nov 27 (LocalWire) Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik has launched 35 model police stations across the state.
Patnaik launched 35 Model Police Stations, one in each district through Video Conferencing from the Secretariat, Bhubaneswar on Monday evening.
He also interacted with people present in 7 Model Police Stations, including Similiguda of Koraput district, Bada Bazar P.S. of Berhampur, Nalco P.S. of Angul, Puri Town P.S. of Puri, Sahadevkhunta P.S. of Balasore, Khetarajpur P.S. of Sambalpur and Plantsite P.S. of Roukela districts.
The Model Police Station which will be people friendly and prompt in redressal of public grievance.
He also inaugurated Airport Model Police Station, Bhubaneswar on Monday which has been envisaged as sequel to opening of an international airport at Bhubaneswar and keeping in mind the issues related to increased flow of foreign tourists to Odisha.
Patnaik flagged off 12 Police Control Room (PCR) mobiles meant for increased police mobility and patrolling in Bhubaneswar for the ensuing World Cup Hockey and thereafter, for prompt and better response to the people in need.
He launched 35 new Boleros and 70 new motorcycles meant for 35 Model police stations. Additional vehicles will be provided to Model Police Stations to improve mobility and efficiency.
