Bhubaneswar, Oct 6 (LocalWire): The State government today claimed that the state continued to report a dip in new cases of the pandemic as it again reported below 3000 cases in the latest round of sample testing.
The State Information and Public Relations Department today said that with the addition of the new cases, the total reported cases of the viral disease in the state touched 2.38 lakh.
The department said that out of the new cases, 1554 were from quarantine while a total of 1119 cases are from local contacts.
Although Khurda district reported a dip in the new cases but continued to report the highest cases in the state.
It reported a total of 448 new cases of the disease. It was followed by Cuttak which saw 214 new cases.
The government claims that it has conducted a total of 35.24 lakh testing till now.
The state is now home to 30,610 cases and also seen recoveries of 2.06 lakh patients.
