Bhubaneswar, Feb 8 (LocalWire) A two-day state-level consultation on Risk Informed Development began on Friday at Hotel Sandys Tower Bhubaneswar.
The consultation is being organized by Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA), in collaboration with Inter Agencies Group (IAG) Odisha, UNICEF and Oxfam India with the objective to understand the disaster losses to generate greater commitment and actions reflected in investment decisions to build sustainable communities and a commitment to risk-informed programming to enhance the economic, social, health and cultural resilience of communities and their assets, as well as the environment.
The program inaugurated under the chairmanship of Dr. Aurobindo Behera, former Member of Board of Revenue, Odisha.
The two days consultation is being facilitated by experts from different government and non government organizations.
The consultation would lead to development of a brief action plan reflecting key actions for risk informed planning and development.
