Bhubaneswar, August 31 (LocalWire): The state government on Saturday extended the deadline for linking the Aadhar number with ration cards till 15 September.
Those availing benefits of subsidised ration from fair price shops under the Food Security Act were earlier asked to link their Aadhar number with the PDS cards through online mode by the end of August 2019.

Hence, the government is providing them with another opportunity to do the needful,” Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare minister Ranendra Pratap Swain said.
As many as 97.7% cardholders have so far been covered under the programme.
Of the 86,36,544 PDS cardholders, over 84,36, 394 beneficiaries have already seeded their PDS card with Aadhar number.
