Bhubaneswar, Aug 27 (LocalWire): Odisha today got its sixth Plasma Bank as Koraput Medical College started the facility from today.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the new Plasma Bank at the Saheed Laxman Naik Medical College and Hospital at Koraput through video conferencing.
“I am glad to say that Odisha is one of the few states where the Plasma Therapy administered in the hospitals proved to be successful.
We are at forefront in terms of testing and treatment of Coronavirus patients,” the CM said.
The CM said that data suggested that more than 400 patients have been given the Plasma Therapy and out of which 320 have shown improvement in their health.
The CM also urged the Coronavirus cured persons to come forward and donate their Plasma which could be used by the health centres to treat critically ill Coronavirus patients from the State.
The CM meanwhile appreciated the role of COVID Warriors and also congratulated the Koraput-based medical college for coming up with the facility.
