Shimla, August 22 (LocalWire) A delegation of Odisha Legislative Assembly (OLA) has reached Himachal Pradesh to learn the web-based computerisation system known as e-vidhan.
The house committee on computerisation reached Shimla and discussed with the Speaker of Himachal Pradesh assembly Dr Rajiv Bindal on various issues Thursday.
Himachal Pradesh is the first state in India to launch e-vidhan project, which brings the usual activity of a legislative assembly online , enabling members and other stakeholders to communicate easily.
The Union Government in December 2018 decided to launch the project in all state assemblies as per a scheme called National e-vidhan Application (NeVA).
NeVA aims to bring all the legislatures of the country together, in one platform thereby creating a massive data depository without having the complexity of multiple applications.
It enables automation of entire law making process, tracking of decisions and documents, sharing of information.
As part of the plan of the delegation of the OLA, the team will also visit and learn processes of Punjab and Delhi Vidhan Sabha.
