Bhubaneswar, April 15 (Local Wire): The state government on Wednesday said that it has now 21 operational COVID hospitals in the state to exclusively cater to the needs of the global pandemic.
Subroto Bagchi, Chief Spokesperson of Odisha government on Coronavirus said that with the induction of a new 200 beded facility at Subaranapur the total number of COVID hospitals have touched 21.
“We have now 21 COVID Hospitals spread already in 19 districts of Odisha.
With these 21 hospitals we have now a total of 3620 beds to cater to COVID cases,” he said.
The official also said that the state had till now tested a total of 5537 samples of suspected COVID patients and the total positive cases in the state have reached 60.
