Bhubaneswar, Aug 27 (LocalWire): The State government today claimed that the state reported the maximum of 3384 new cases of Coronavirus in the latest sample testing.
According to the State Information and Public Relations Department, out of the new cases, 2128 cases are reported from quarantine and 1256 cases were seen from local contacts.
The peak of cases in the state could be attributed to the higher number of cases reported by Khurda district (587 cases) and Cuttack district (492).
Khurda meanwhile topped in the state in terms of reporting maximum new cases.
All the 30 districts reported the new cases. Some other districts which reported higher cases included-Sambalpur (182), Ganjam (177), Mayurbhanj (177), Jajpur (176) and Bargarh (157).
The total cases on the other hand in the state touched 90,986 with the detection of new cases.
The government claims to have conducted a total of 15,53,257 samples till now.
The state has now a total of 27,672 active cases and a total of 62,813 recoveries.
