Bhubaneswar, Jan 9 (LocalWire) Odisha has recorded 19% growth in revenue generation till December end, revealed latest government data.
Total revenue generation by December-end in the fiscal year 2017-18 was Rs 25,023 crore.
During the same period in current fiscal year 2018-19, Odisha clocked a revenue collection of Rs 29,665 crore.
With a collection of Rs 8,556 crore, revenue generation from non-tax sources increased by 60%, while Rs 21,109 crore was collected from non-tax sources; up by 7%.
Revenue generation from mining royalty rose by 70% (Rs 7,185 crore in 2018-19 against Rs 4,217 crore in 2017-18 till December-end) and industrial water rate increased by 14%.
Revenue collection from industrial water was Rs 454 crore against last year’s collection of Rs 406 crore.
Revenue collection from duties and electricity was Rs 2,309 crore, a growth of 73%.
