Bhubaneswar, April 3 (Local Wire): The state on Friday saw sudden rise in new COVID cases as a total of 15 positive cases were reported on Friday alone.
The government on late Friday informed that the 15 new patients have tested positive for the disease.
This included infection of 7 persons close to the fifth COVID patient hailing from Suryanagar.
Cases from Bhadrak, Puri and Jajpur were also reported.
A statement from the State Health Department said, “15 COVID positive cases were confirmed on Friday.
This included 7 close contacts of Suryanagar case (including wife, daughter and tenants),”
The department also said that three persons from Bomikhal in Bhubaneswar, one each from Cuttack, Puri and Jajpur besides two from Bhadrak have tested positive for the viral disease.
“This made the total positive cases in the State to 20,” the department said.
